Get recommended by AI assistants.
When buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI which suppliers to shortlist, is your company in the answer? We find out, fix what we can control, and measure the change.

| Company named | Answers naming it |

Wrong fact: 2 answers gave your detection limit as 100 ppm. Your datasheet says 10 ppm. Traced to an outdated distributor listing.
Your next buyer may meet you in an AI answer first.
Engineers, lab managers and procurement teams now ask AI assistants to explain options, compare suppliers and draft shortlists. The assistant decides which companies to mention, what to say about them and which pages to cite.
If your specs sit in PDFs, if a distributor page is out of date, or if AI crawlers are blocked by a CDN setting, the answer gets written without you, or about you, wrongly.
This is close to SEO, but not the same. Each assistant searches a different index, answers change from one run to the next, and third-party pages often count for more than your own. That needs its own checks.

Four things decide whether AI sends you buyers.
We check them in this order, because each one depends on the one before. The last column is honest about how much of it anyone can control.
| Layer | The question | What we work on | How controllable |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1Found | Can AI assistants reach, read and index the pages that matter? | Crawler and CDN settings, server-rendered content, Google and Bing indexing, sitemaps. | High |
| 2Described correctly | When AI mentions you, are your specs, prices, lead times and capabilities right? | Fact pages built from your datasheets, corrections at the source, correction requests to third-party sites. | High |
| 3Recommended | Do you appear when buyers ask category and comparison questions? | Pages that answer real buyer questions, presence in the directories and trade media AI cites, honest comparisons. | Medium, slow |
| 4Chosen | When a buyer clicks through, can they get a quote or order easily? | Landing pages, quote paths, tracking AI referrals and asking “How did you hear about us?” | Medium |
How it works
Human-led, with AI tools doing the repetitive sampling and parsing. You always see the evidence.

Fix
We make the changes on your site, or brief your developer, and work on the outside sources AI cites: directories, distributor listings, corrections.

We don't take on ongoing work for companies that compete directly with Nano Store's own product range. Why, and what that covers.
What we promise, and what nobody can.
AI answers are probabilistic and owned by other companies. Anyone who guarantees a recommendation is guessing, or doing something you won't want your name on.
We will
- Make sure AI crawlers can reach and read the pages that matter.
- Find where AI gets your facts wrong and fix the sources we can control.
- Show you every sampled answer, with dates, cited sources and sample sizes.
- Re-test with the same questions, so progress is measured rather than claimed.
Nobody can honestly promise
- A guaranteed recommendation or a “#1 in ChatGPT” spot.
- A set number of leads or inquiries.
- Stable answers. They vary between runs, so we report ranges, not screenshots.
- Shortcuts that last. We don't do fake reviews, paid placements posing as editorial, or mass-produced AI pages.
Run by people who sell technical products online.
AEOuse is a trading name of Nano Store Ltd, the UK company behind nanostoreltd.com, an online store for research materials and lab supplies.
We learned this work on our own catalogue: making technical product pages readable by search engines and AI assistants, getting listed where researchers look, and checking how assistants describe us. Our team works from the UK and the US.

Questions
What do AEO and GEO mean?
Answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) are two names for the same job: making sure AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot can find your company, describe it accurately and include it when they recommend suppliers. Our guide explains it in more detail.
Isn't this just SEO?
Good SEO is the foundation, and Google says optimizing for its AI features is still SEO. But AI assistants don't all use Google's index, they rewrite rather than list, and they lean heavily on third-party pages. So we test the answers themselves, not only rankings, and we fix the facts and sources the answers are built from.
How long until something changes?
Access problems (blocked crawlers, unreadable pages) can be fixed in days. Corrected facts usually show up in answers within weeks, once pages are recrawled. Being recommended more often in category questions is slower, typically three to twelve months, because it depends on what other sites say about you.
Which AI assistants do you check?
By default ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode. We add Gemini, Microsoft Copilot or Claude when your buyers use them. Each is reported separately, because they behave differently.
What does it cost?
The first check is free. Paid work starts with a Fix Pack from $1,500 (£1,200, €1,350). Full prices are on the services page. Scope is always agreed in writing before you pay.
Do you need access to our website?
Not for the free check. For fixes, we ask for a limited editor account that you create and can revoke, or we write a precise brief for your own web team.
Do you work outside the US, UK and Europe?
Our focus is English-language B2B sites selling into the US, UK and Europe. If you're elsewhere, email us anyway and we'll tell you plainly whether we can help.
